Environmental Policy

The Company Management team are totally committed and have a conscientious approach to the protection of people and the environment and therefore this ethos is an integral part of the company’s working practice.

• It is the company’s intention that all work is carried out in accordance with the relevant statutory provisions and that all reasonable practical steps will be taken to avoid potential damage or nuisance to people and/or the environment.

• It is the company’s first objective to avoid or minimise nuisance or damage to the environment and the community. Secondly, every effort will be made to contribute to improving the impact by appropriate methods, thinking and working practices.

• Specifically we will aim to reduce pollution, increase our energy efficiency, reduce water consumption, endeavour to cut the use of products and working practices that damage the environment, reduce, reuse and recycle goods and materials used in our work and protect and enhance nature where we can.

• The management and supervisory team are responsible for monitoring and implementing environmental policy throughout the company and must ensure that, subject to requirements of health and safety, environmental protect has a high priority in planning and day to day supervision of work.

• All employees, sub contractors and visitors are expected to co-operate with the company in carrying out our commitment, and ensuring in their own work, in so far as is reasonably practicable, is undertaken without risk or nuisance to themselves or other, or to the wider environment.

• The Managing Director has particular responsibility for environmental matters and all staff have a responsibility to report any difficulty or opportunity for improvement to him.

• Energy conservation in each department of the business is the responsibility of all staff. To prevent the waste of electricity all electrical appliances including computers should be switched off if they are going to be left unused for long periods.

The Environment Agency has certified that Judges Postcards process all waste as defined by the Hazardous Waste Regulations 2005 in accordance with all current environmental legislation
